First of all Quran came as a regulations in 400 a.d., its not till europeans spread across the globe in 17th and 18th century and exchanged knowledge, till then people have short knowledge about each other and there was no media, internet etc, science was already developed by humans, in india, saudi arabia, iran/iran, china, japan, mayans in america etc before 1400 years, but only provenance was to store in religion scriptures, so what so supernatural about quran if just some part of it coincides with modern day science,,, indeed information developed through thousands of years, people didnt make aeroplane in a day, and they do not come falling from sky, they were man made, all the scholarship of nature was developed through thousands of years, all that written in quran is completely man made...

should there really be a controversy of when to celebrate EID?

I don get why here in North america there always are 2 groups that laud eid in 2 different days. one group that i know of are mostly African and arabian muslims that say eid is to be celebrated when ppl in saudi arabia are celebrating. But the set are mostly the south asian and some other middle eastern communities that say it all depends on the moon. and sometimes the moons up the day after the eid day in saudi but ppl celebrate eid on that day. I'm at best wondering if we can't even agree with when a major celebration for the muslim world can't be decided how can we ever unite together as a whole?

If you don't remember the name of the ingredients in English, you can put them in Arabic. Pls include measurements :-)
no, maybe I'm not writing it right. It's the saudi tea I guess.. you guys the briny it in little tiny cups.
it is this: قشر
well i guess it's not tea.. i mean it looks like it, but you boil it for a long space.. I'll ask my husband what exactly it is and I'll update.. maybe I'll take a pic of the stuff if I get a chance.
UPDATE: It's made from coffee husks. All I distinguish is that they boil it for a while and a key ingredient they add is ginger (zanjabeel?). I think some people add some other spices, but idk. Anyway, I'm surprised you guys don't grasp. They served that at every home I've visited. They pronounce it Gishr (hard G like girl) if that makes any alteration.
