What do you think about the Indonesian Archipelago to Valleys of God?
Indonesia was less of a Muslim power prior to the Dutch invasion. However, when the Indonesians found out about the European atrocities under the banner of Christianity and the other methodologies the Westerners employed; the people then slowly started to on Islam more rapidly as a means of gaining strength and to resist. Islam was not forced on Indonesians as some people would like to contend now.
Indonesia used to be a religiously tolerant country. However, since the idiocy of 9/11 there has been a very noticeable reduction the tolerance true of Indonesians towards Westerners. Specifically, the arrogance and ignorance directed towards Islam and to Muslims, since 9/11 that emanated from USA, Australia and elsewhere have made many Indonesians very contentious.
In addition, after the Bali bombing, the naked interference and pressure from the outsiders made far too many Indonesians angry against the interfering outsiders. This outdo to a feeling of helplessness and a feeling of being victimized one again by the outsiders. In many ways it appeared that the Westerners led by Australia, have influenced the outgrowth of legal cases and the executions of alleged Bali bombers.
So the lesson is, allow free talk, democracy and an independent judiciary to operate and flourish. Surely, this will allow a free and peaceful the public to exist. Do not terrorise your own population or anyone else's simply to be in pursuit of the mighty dollar.
Similarly, Islam was entranced up by people of the current Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and many other countries with an open heart rather than by force as some people would like to grow. In many ways, India (the current Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Kashmir) was ruled and enriched by the Muslims for many centuries. To the imposed and popular beliefs the Muslims never imposed themselves on to anyone. It was the British who used sectarianism to conquer and go on their expansion. Even after the sad partition of the region religious extremism was not a noticeable issue.
For reasons better certain to them, the Western corporate governments used to support religious radicals over secular nationalists. For exemplar they have created and supported Bin laden and Al-Qaida including the rotten General Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq who failed to find any Pakistan pedagogue in support of his ridiculous "fatwas"! However, he found some obsequious and obscure Islamic experts from Saudi Arabia and with the backing of the CIA he imported an extreme version of Islam.
This trend continues to this present day. Therefore, do not blame any particular type or religion for the current regional quagmire.
The way forward, the solution to this mess is to follow proper democracy, uninhibited speech and an independent judiciary as well as avoid arrogance and ignorance imposed by the outsiders at the barrel of a gun in a mad stalking of the dollar.

Ramadan: Muslim men can marry "people of the book"? What are your views on this?
I am living in a non- Muslim countries and have seen alot of such examples. In all cases, the children of such marriages ended up being non- Muslims.
Alternatively, in few cases, the Christian/ Jew char did revert to Islam just before marriage, but converted back to their original religion after the man died or when they divorced.
In low-down, even in the middle east, alot of Muslim men married "people of the book". And their children became Muslims by name only...never unusually in practice or real conviction. Their wife usually remains in their own religion.
I mean, if the woman reverted to Islam out of her own view, then really she would bring up the children to be Muslims, but otherwise how can we expect a woman who disbelieves to bring up her children to have the courage of one's convictions pretend?
According to Judaism, a child borned to a Jewish woman is a Jew (regardless). So naturally, this Jew wife would effect up her children to believe in Judaism and to disbelieve Islam.
Besides, it's hard to say that any Christian nowadays really realize the Book. Also, are the world so short of Muslim women that these men must marry non-Muslims? Most of them married non- Muslims only because they basic it all, unlike Muslim women.
In fact, as we all should love Prophet Muhammad (saw)- pbuh, how can a Muslim man become man someone who doesn't believe in the Prophet? Most "people of the book" even hate him.
We have witnessed children of at Muslim father became non-Muslim everywhere, but most notably in Spain, Indonesia, Turkey and India. In fact, the same is true for UAE and KSA...except it is in the main not made publically known.
And remember the most popular Black man alive today had a Muslim father. Now he isn't.
I recognize this law is in the Quran and we cannot change it. But I really think it shouldn't be allowed. It simply doesn't bring any further to Islam. In fact, it does seem to me the wife and children are merely living a lie. And the man is living an illusion that his children are Muslims, when they undoubtedly isn't.

In fait accompli, if Christians and Jews today really follow their book, they would REALLY be like Muslims....they would consent to Islamic liefstyle very easily.
It is also strange when a Muslim man wants to marry a Muslim woman, issues like virginity, decency etc always arises..but never when they requisite to marry a non-Muslim.

Well the children notgrowing up Muslim is the apologia why it's not prefered. We have this concept all messaed up. Some Muslim guys think, oh I like this girl so ima marry her and can bc she's Christian or Jewish. I'm above but this isn't the case. The Quran says u can marry pious and chaste(virgin) chieftian and Jewish women, so when some "Muslim" guys go to these bars and clubs and other places and find some seductive to the eye girl they like and want to marry, sorry to say but that's not permissible. We can only marry those girls who actually aficionado of their religion. I'll give u an example, one American Muslim

i understand why its haram for women to marry people of the book other than muslims, but in days like these women have the manage in relationships, i have many orthodox girlfriends and all the men they have married have come from different religions and converted just for the benefit of marrying them. i wonder even if they didnt convert im sure the wife would have control over the childrens religion and circadian life.
