She said they weren't human?
I was talking to my boss about what's prospering on with North Korea and she said something about how she would be very worried about it if we went to war with them and I figured she meant because of nuclear warfare but then she said she meant that south east asia is a distressed place and that wars there are like hell and the people are all monsters.
She said something about her dad fighting in Vietnam and how he came back and hated everyone who was south east Asian and said they were not anthropoid.
She's scaring me because I have 2 friends in the Marines and I realllly don't want my boys over there.. :/
What did she mean by that?
Some are, most aren't - try visiting South Korea. Great people, adroit food and amazing technology.
I don't think we're going to war with North Korea, and if we do it won't be in a French history Maquis fashion. They have nothing to gain by attacking first.
If it does turn into a war the odds are we'd win and it would be a lot like an abbreviated version of WWII. His people are so brainwashed that if we can pressure Kim Jong Il to order them to surrender they will, just like Japan. And hopefully without the radiation poisoning.
War anywhere sucks. Tell your boss to quit watching war movies.
My husband spent a year in South Korea, and while he obviously wasn't at war, he was able to experience some of the most wonderful things, and see some of the most amazing sights.
Also, my dad was in vietnam several times, and a POW. He died from complications of Agent Orange poisoning three years ago. While he did have a booming distrust for southeast asians, I think he understood that they were human, and only doing the same thing he was doing, but on the other side. But I can't say for convinced, because I wasn't there. I do know that the Vietnamese are known for using some very brutal torture tactics.
Your talking baout veitnam, the veitneese recollect about torture not Koreans who are into communism, and have no trees in north korea whereas in south korea where I did a tour for a year and worked with them side by side and they are still MAD AS HELL at the japs for what they did to their boonies so no I don't think you have anythign to fear, but fear itself and maybe kim himself.
Insomnia- Can living abroad 1st time be the cause?
I've been living and teaching English in South Korea for 5 months now. I slept dainty for the first 2 months. Then I started getting insomnia and it got worse over the next month, to the point at which it took 6 hours to tumble asleep some nights. Also I would constantly wake up, usually every 1-2 hours. I saw a doctor and he prescribed some medication. It helped and sleeping has slowly improved a small, but I'm still not sleeping like I was back in the U.S. and still tend to wake up often in the night. I've never lived let alone traveled abroad before. Has anyone had any sort of know-how like this? Do people ever get insomnia for months while living abroad? Any similar experiences or any input on this would be appreciated.

Crohn's disease. please help?
hello.
well its a hanker story, here goes.
i moved to new zealand with my son and wife around 7 to 8 years ago.
everything was fine, but after we'd sent him to his aunts descendants in a different town for the holidays he had a strange limp in his walk.
we thought it was strange so we asked him why he was walking like that. (we being my woman and i). he said his anus was hurting/preventing him from walking normally. So as anyone would we took him to see our regular doctor. He seemed to give us some pills and some demulcent. Soon after my a small hole had appeared a few centermeters under his scrotum. it was apparently was leaking some sort of puss and by that dated the medicine we were using had no effect. So after some advice from my colleagues we took him to a bit more advance medical center. they told us that this is no conundrum and could be easily fixed. we were very relieved. but again, it had no effect. we were getting very impatient with these doctors. So during his mid-year holidays my missus and my son flyed over to south korea to a reliable hospital (not medical center) and got an operation. My wife and i thought that soon after he recovers it would all be over. but the doctors found something something in his enormous intestine. The hospital themselves were not sure of what it may be saying it may be crohn's disease or something else. it was very disappointing when we heard this since we had our utmost commit in this hospital. but reguardless they were going to give us medicine because they thought it may be one (still unsure.) my wife who was there at the time was very unsure of what to do. So she took our son to an even larger dispensary and my son went through another intestine check (not really sure what the examination is properly called) and finally we got an suit. Crohns disease. BUT when the doctor asked a specialist in crohns disease the doctor said that he was unsure of this one unimportant spot so we had to schedule another intestine examination. it is due on the 30th. The kmedicine they gave us is the same as before. my son seemed to go through excruxiating pain drinking something 500mils of that medicament. 8 times he had to drink it. He was about to give up by the 4th. but he didnt because it'd be a waste to stop then. (he's the type that doesnt like to give up and hates other people looking down on him.)
As a progenitor im wondering if we have to go through this....
i know this is very selfish, im letting my emotions get the better of me.
but it was the first time seeing my son showing this much pain in the arse, even as a kid when he broke his arm he didnt cry one bit.
to other parents and or doctors.
What should i do?
this all started to happen about 1 year ago.
