Seoul compared to other cities (recreation/prices)?
I'm looking to ponder abroad in Korea to learn Korean and International Relations for one year. My school does a program through Korea University in Seoul, but I'm not dependable If I want to go to Seoul. I'm thinking of applying to a scholarship and study in a University I found in Gwang-ju.
I was just wondering, is there a wide difference in prices for food and recreation in the two cities? I'd rather go to Gwang-ju because I usually like the people gamester when they're far away from the Capital, they're usually friendlier and way less materialistic (asian girls and guys can be pretty yuppy in the capital cities, imo)
So, is there a big difference? Also, how are the people in Gwang-ju compared to Seoul? Was I right, are they warmer and more down to earth? Or is there no corporeal difference?
Thanks.
people's character are not huge different. but there are much more foreigners in Seoul thus you might get less attention than you would be in Gwang ju. yes, more r means people may be more friendly and interested in you. but it does not necessarily menas peope in Gwang ju are warmer and non money-oriented unless you go really rural are.

Are there any Korean classes for native English speakers who teach in S. Korea?
I acquaint with at a hakwon in S. Korea. I have a week vacation coming up and would love to use it to learn Korean. However, I can't find any intensive one week classes, even in Seoul. Other than that, are there any gloom classes, or maybe morning classes, for people living in Korea who can't speak Korean? Thanks, Joel

Questions for American soldiers in South Korea?
Hello, I'm a female from the states and is researching for a political science paper while I'm on vacation here in Seoul, South Korea. So it's not much of a vacation at all Non-Standard real.
I'm not looking for rude comments or anything.
Just wondering if any servicemen or women would like to participate in answering several questions about being stationed fa of the U.S. In a way, like an interview. Questions include about simple things such as about life at Camp Casey and of that admissible. Nothing that would require breaking any military codes or reveal any classified information of course. Just about popular military life. How boring or exciting it may be.
I have the utmost respect for soldiers alike as I have 4 generation males in my relations that have also served in different branches in the military. My father being a West Point grad, and was stationed in Korea himself.
I have met several soldiers exactly roaming around tourist attractions in places such as Namsan and Chung Gae Chun, and they were all eager and helpful. But the exegesis has to be a minimum of 14 pages with a lot of legitimate sources so any more help would be greatly appreciated!
Feel unshackled to message me if you are interested. I promise I won't take much of your time.
