I just got a DSLR, and I'm not sure how to carry it outside of Canada.?

So I very recently got a new DSLR for my birthday and I love it very much. But I'm going to Hong Kong next month, and I'm afraid to take it on the plane because I don't know a safe way to transport it. Should I rely on the camera strap and carry it on my shoulder/around my neck the whole time, or should I get a bag for it? Is it even safe to carry it on my honestly/around my neck the whole time? And what kind of material should I wrap it around if I'm gonna keep it in a bag? I'd really appreciate it if anyone could suggest some worth ideas :)

Put it, your lenses, the battery charger and all your tribute cards in your carry on bag.

DO NOT check it in your baggage. It will get "lost" since you can no longer lock up your bags.

If you are winning your notebook computer, carry it on board with you too. Same rule applies. Check it, lose it.

Where can I buy dramas with simplified Chinese subs in Hong Kong?

I recognize Hong Kong normal uses traditional but I've had some friends who bought books there in simplified Chinese but they never bought dramas so they don't skilled in about that.

Need dramas that were from as early as 1983 as well as new ones that just aired. The dramas would be from Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan, or Singapore.

I heard there are lots of shops in Mongkok but it's such a monumental area how can I find anything without an address?

How does Phileas Fogg meet back up with Passepartout, in the book Around The World in 80 Days?

I don't be aware how it is possible, after they became separated at Hong Kong, and then Passepartout took a different boat than Phileas, and then Phileas saw Passepartout's sailing-boat leaving from the shore. And then in the next chapter, while Passepartout is preforming as a clown he sees Phileas and they go on their way.

How were they able to foregather back up? What am I missing?!

Would you read a book with this blurb?

Hey, I'm handwriting a book at the moment. It's currently around 2/3 finished, with about 340 pages. It's going to be published in the next 18 months. I understand that the author does not choose the blurb, but I wanted to get a general feel for how people would react to this specimen.

Would you read it? If so, why?
If not, why not? Is it a problem with the blurb, or the book it describes? What would you change about the blurb? Do I need to clarify things?

Thanks in rise for any feedback.

In a 31st century world recovering from global warming, a nuclear inferno and a severe shortage of Decent People, Felix, an orphaned London stiltjumper, gets a once-in-a-lifetime take place to go Hong Kong Qi Pao, the famous underwater bubble city.

When he is there he stumbles into a web of kidnapping, torture and murder that drags him unexpectedly into more jeopardy likely to be than he would have thought was possible…

For elsewhere, in a dirty boardroom suspended beneath London, events have been set in motion to “Preserve the World.”

Not the people.

The world.

Hong Kong Objective Report from Cruise Today

Getting More Rock Into Hong Kong

Today Mr. Sweeting works for Asian concert promoters Untitled Relaxation, where he has brought recent, higher-profile acts, such as MGMT and the Flaming Lips, to the town. He also resurrected the People’s Party after a one-year hiatus, staging concerts by Bombay Bicycle Truncheon, Metronomy, the Naked and Famous and the Jezabels in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taipei and Jakarta earlier this month.

Mr. Sweeting, 34 years old, spoke with The Partition Street Journal about Hong Kong’s indie music scene, People’s Party’s render, and why he’s devoted to an industry that may always be second fiddle to Cantopop.

You’ve been organizing live shows in Hong Kong for close to a decade. What’s changed over the years?

The Hong Kong scene — while it still has a ways to go in terms of matching the complete interest in live music and indie music in other parts of Asia, like Singapore, Indonesia or even Taiwan — is plainly growing. As recently as 2009, I lost money [promoting] shows in Hong Kong. Breaking even was the target then. Now the business end has improved, and there are other indie promoters also bringing over acclaimed indie acts that are not the time-honoured pop giants that dominated Hong Kong’s market for so long. As a promoter, and a fan of music in Hong Kong, I’m more optimistic about the scene than I was, say, three years ago.
